Food Charter

The Food Network is a collaborative of member organisations working together to tackle inequalities and support individuals from low-income backgrounds, rural communities, and disadvantaged groups affected by food poverty and insecurity.

Network members play a key role in early intervention by identifying those at risk and providing crisis support to prevent food poverty, promoting dignity, choice, and access to nutritious, high-quality food.

Members offer a broad range of place-based support, including cooking classes, community cafés and shops, larders, drop-in pantries, hot meal distribution, community fridges, welfare and debt advice, anti-poverty referrals, and the provision of food parcels and vouchers.

Collectively, the Food Network supports over 4,000 beneficiaries every week.
